Caitlincorsetti.com has a Tumblr!
Sometimes it’s easier for me to quickly post something instead of putting together a blog post. I’m a busy girl, so if you want to stay in the loop go follow me on Tumblr!
Why A Cup of Coco? Coco is my nickname given to me by one of my best friends, Haley. I don’t know how it happened, but it stuck. Now even my Dad calls me Coco. And no it’s not a stripper name, thank you.
Om Nom Nom: Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
I made something delicious this week. Did it involve coffee? Yes. Did it involve chocolate? Yes. Do I still think it’s healthy? Yes. I believe firmly in the idea that if there’s fruit, it’s automatically healthy. And chocolate is good for you.
Usually I prefer to make things from scratch, but I was short on time and I had chocolate chip muffin mix. My mind immediately went to chocolate chip banana bread.
Then I figured I would be having it for breakfast and decided I need more coffee in my mornings.
Preheat the oven to 375. Just make the muffin mix as per the directions on the box, throw in two bananas (you can mash them up first, I prefer to do it all at once), and a heaping spoonful of ground coffee. Pour into a loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes.
If I could give you a slice, I would. Unfortunately, this loaf of joy went really fast in my house.
This was literally 2 hours later.
DIY: Angel Wing Ring
{DIYs are the best thing since sliced bread, seriously. I want to share them so you too can partake in the awesomeness of DIYing}
I had these angel wing earrings that I don’t wear, and one was really bent out of shape. So I figured I’d just glue it to a ring and voila! Something new.
What you need: An earring or charm (something long so it covers a couple of fingers), a ring, superglue
Put some superglue on the earring, place ring on top and hold until dry
Enjoy and wear!
Super Fat
I love independent makeup brands, and one of my favorites is NYX! I was ecstatic when I found out my local Ulta finally started carrying this brand, so you should check with yours too. I’m a huge fan of marker eyeliners so the second I saw this bad boy, I had to try it out.
Introducing the Super Fat Eye Marker
They had a skinnier version, but I went with the larger one because it still has a fine enough point for thin lines. I felt like the bigger marker was a little more versatile for me.
These markers are a personal favorite for cat eyes and such. They’re easy to use and have great staying power (I’m currently on hour 7 without a primer and no budging at all!)
Swatches: tip, slightly slanted, completely flat
Verdict: A
For only about 10 bucks, this is a great deal especially due to it’s lasting power. I’m not quite sure how long the actual marker itself will last, though. I’m hoping to get at least 2 months out of it so we shall see.
Dear Dad
There’s no one in the world that can make a girl feel more special than her dad. Mine is a rock. A coach. A chef. A jokester. A protector. A dog walker. A fixer. A supporter. A bear. A collecter of hats. A keeper of Twizzlers and Jelly Bellies. A heavy lifter. A bug killer. A convincer to get a better boyfriend. A Food Network fanatic. A movie quoter. A trivia genius. A hero.
I love you Dad, Happy Father’s Day!
