Word of the Day Wednesdays

Today’s word of the day is sponsored by my EN 408 Poetry Workshop.

DIY Tuesday

You never know what you can make out of old things you have lying around. I found this old necklace that I’m pretty sure I got in like eighth grade for some reason or another. I remember there were matching earrings, and I wish I could find them. Anyway, I’ve been really into the neon colors thing lately and decided to update this necklace instead of throwing it out.

You can do a lot more with nail polish than just painting your nails!

Start with plain necklace

Grab nail polish colors of your choice

Go over with a top coat

Ta-da!

It kind of reminds me of a candy necklace!

Pining For: BaubleBar’s Twitter Handle Necklace

As a self-proclaimed fashionista, I obviously gravitate toward other fashionable ladies. Case-in-point: Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. Although I don’t always agree with Carrie’s style choices, I am the kind of girl that would actually wear a tutu in public. I’ve always loved her ballsy and fashion forward outfits, but her accessories (and the shoes!) get me every time. The Carrie nameplate necklace is a timeless piece, and I have a silver one that says “Caitlin,” but it’s time for an upgrade.

BaubleBar has these fantastic Twitter handle necklaces, and I’m dying for one (Hey Mom and Dad, it’s almost my birthday!) They come in yellow gold, rose gold, and sterling silver, and you can even choose your chain length. I have to have one.
