DIY Tuesday: Necklace To Bracelet
The easiest DIYs are the kind that transform one thing into another. Chances are you have an old necklace lying around from eighth grade that you’ve held onto for some reason or another. Said reason is neither here nor there. Sometimes we just can’t part ways with things. This is called separation anxiety. So I had this wonderfully tacky necklace from The Icing or Claire’s or whatever and I really liked the idea of it but not so much the style. I decided it would make a dainty bracelet, and I hacked it up.
What you need:
-an old necklace (preferable with links)
-jump rings
-clasp (or use the one from the necklace)
-charms (optional)
-pliers
-creative mojo
I took the clasp off using my pliers and removed some of the little gold charms, then I took a portion of the chain and separated it from the rest.
Then I attached the clasp back on and put a jump ring on the opposite end.
Ta-da!
What can you make out of your jewelry box?
