I’ve had my share of bad Valentine’s Days. Like a drunken ex-boyfriend who showed up with a giant heart of Rite-Aid chocolates. There’s a stigma associated with V-Day that I’m not fond of. It’s about love, not stuff (although I don’t mind all the candy). I think you should tell the people you love that you love them everyday. So do that. Tell someone in your life that you love them today. And if there’s someone that you haven’t said it to, do it because you’ll regret it if you don’t.

I love all of you. Thank you for being a part of my life.

It’s recently become arctic. Which would be fine, except I don’t have a lot of my winter clothes with me. Layers are my best friend this week: tanks, long sleeves, sweaters, scarves, hats. Layers are the easiest way to keep warm and still look cute!

Almost Naked Nails

I feel weird having bare nails, and it’s probably because one of my BFFs (hey Kelly!) turned me into a nail painting fiend. I swear we painted our nails every day when we lived together. Sometimes I want to keep it natural, but I hate not wearing anything on my digits. Enter the nude polish.

OPI’s Samoan Sand is my new go-to nude color. It matches everything and makes my nails look really clean and put together. I bought two bottles.

My dad follows a simple motto: be prepared. He taught me this when I was a kid, and it’s stuck with me. I always check the weather before I leave the house, I always make sure I have what I need (or might need) just in case. And I’m generally “that girl” who has whatever someone else might need too. Why? Because I’m always prepared. This motto has turned me into a girl who carries a lot of shit around all the time. This is what’s currently in my bag. I’m super excited to share a sneak peek of my photo shoot from Sunday with my extraordinarily talented friend, Josh Epperson. We went to middle school together when we were both totally awkward. He’s amazing. This shoot was by far the best we’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to show the rest when they come out!!
